Perpetually dark, the Crescent City teems with life and spiritual energy. The world left in the middle of the night and never returned, taking the cycle of day and night with it.

From the French Quarter to the Garden District the city has become haunted by the living, the dead, the in between, and those who are beyond the boundaries of life and death.

Food and goods still come down the river and the people continue on. Mardi Gras seems to have taken on a new life of its own and has become a weekly event now, as those who live in the darkness struggle to be happy for the good fortune of their existence.

Even when life is a big party, you still find you have troubles. While the living city flourishes in its decadent celebration of life, those who are not yet dead and those who have passed bide their time and wait for their time to begin. Secret sects and sinister cabals seem to lurk just out of sight. Rumors abound of dark rituals and perverse magic preserving the city and its inhabitants.

The moon and stars may have stopped over the Big Easy, but the city continues to party like it is the end of the world.
